How to capture a full webpage screenshot in Microsoft Edge
SnapMark can capture a normally scrolling webpage as one long image, let you annotate it in the side panel, and export the result locally as PNG, JPG, or PDF.
Best starting point: choose Auto mode for articles, documentation, product pages, reports, and other pages that scroll in the main browser window.
Step-by-step workflow
- Open the webpage. Wait for the text, images, charts, or interface state you need to finish loading. Expand any sections that should appear in the capture.
- Open SnapMark. Launch the extension from the browser toolbar. The capture and annotation interface appears in the side panel.
- Select Auto mode. Auto is designed for ordinary pages where the main document is the scroll surface.
- Start the capture. Click the capture button and leave the selected tab available until SnapMark finishes.
- Review the long screenshot. Confirm that the top, middle, and bottom of the page are present and that fixed navigation is not repeated.
- Annotate locally. Add arrows, rectangles, text, freehand marks, emojis, blur, or watermarks.
- Export the file. Choose PNG for lossless image output, JPG for a smaller image file, or PDF for printing and document workflows.
When to use another mode
Use Enhanced mode
Choose Enhanced when the visible content scrolls inside an application panel, document canvas, modal, or other nested container rather than in the main page.
Use Visible mode
Choose Visible when you need only the current browser viewport and do not need content below the fold.
Common limitations
- Browser-internal pages and other protected URLs may block extension access.
- Continuously changing animations, ads, or live dashboards can change while a capture is being prepared.
- Some virtualized applications load only the currently visible rows; Enhanced mode may be more suitable.
Privacy reminder: the current SnapMark extension processes screenshots and annotations locally and does not automatically upload the captured image.
